Description
Large crowds of white men and women on both sides of a hay bale lined, paved road gathers at a bend in a race track while several people stand around a bike in the center. The buildings behind the crowds look to be European. A bridge over the track has a banner hanging from it that reads, "Berger" and has a - and + sign to one side.

Dowdal Davis and an unidentified African American woman sitting on the steps of a building both looking down, both holding their head with their hand. Dowdal's overcoat collar is turned up. He wears spats and striped trousers. There is the base of an ornate iron light pole with ram heads on each corner behind them on the left. The doorway has an ornate fleur-de-lis pattern in the concrete.

Only the two standing to the left smile at the photographer. The other three look seriously off to the left. Note the lapel button holding the chain to the breast pocket and the tie tacks.

Five very well-dressed unidentified African American men stand on the steps to a school or church. One stands in the front in an overcoat looking up and to the left. The other four stand on the first step looking forward except the one directly to the left of the man in the front. That man is looking down and talking to the man in the front.
