Lincoln High School band and rifle drill team

Details
Description
Group photograph of the Lincoln High School Band and rifle drill team standing and seated on the steps in front of Lincoln High School in Kansas City, Missouri. The first three seated rows are the African American students who play instruments. The back four rows of seated and standing African American students hold rifles. Everyone is wearing a uniform including hats. The bass drum on the right corner of the photograph says, "Lincoln High School Band and Orchestra." The drum major is seated on the left corner of the photograph. The band director sits in the middle of the front row holding a very long conductor's baton. Possibly this is only a brass and percussion band . Two students in the middle of the next to the last row hold flags; one is the flag of the United States of America.
