Large crowds of white men and women on both sides of a hay bale lined, paved road gathers at a bend in a race track while several people stand around a bike in the center. The buildings behind the crowds look to be European. A bridge over the track has a banner hanging from it that reads, "Berger" and has a - and + sign to one side.

Description
An unidentified group of three African American men and two African American women smile as they share a meal inside an unidentified diner. Two of the men sit on either side of a woman on the left side of the photograph. The woman and the man to her left hold cigarettes in their right hands. At the end of the "U"-shaped counter another woman sits with a man leaning over her left shoulder to smile at the photographer. He wears an envelope-style hat. There are drinking glasses, dishes, and condiment holders on the counter. The photograph is taken through two large elephant ear leaves that match the wall painting behind the patrons of a bird cage in among elephant ear plants and palms.

They present an atmosphere of contentment enhancing the savory meals from its stainless steel kitchen and pantry. At each end of the dining car there are two banquette sections seating four persons each. The main dining section seats 32. Fluorescent lighting, improved air conditioning and wall-to-wall carpeting add to the comfort and beauty of the car.
