Band playing at the Jockey Jazz Club

Description
A band sits on stage likely playing jazz at the Jockey Club, 10th and Paseo in Kansas City, Missouri. Farthest to the left is Bill Jones playing drums as he wears sunglasses. In front of Bill and to his left is a seated unidentified sax player blowing into his alto saxophone. To his left in the center of the stage is an unidentified bass player with his head slightly bent forward but his eyes looking up straight at the photographer. Behind the bass player and to his left is William Fisher playing the piano and looking out between the piano and the lifted lid. In front of William Fisher and slightly to his left is an unidentified seated trumpet player blowing into his horn. Around the edge of the stage is a scalloped stage decoration of two horse heads facing each other with a jockey's cap in between them. On the door to the back right there is a "J" over a "C" logo on the window to indicated the Jockey Club.

Farthest to the left Bunnie "Bumps" Love smiles to her right at the photographer as she sits with her hands on the piano keys. To the right is the unidentified bass player. In the center front is Myra Taylor with her arms spread as she smiles and sings into a microphone on the stand in front of her. She wears a full-length evening gown. To her left behind her on the stage is Curtyse Foster wearing a tuxedo and blowing into a saxophone. To Curtyse's left and behind him on stage is Bill Nolan smiling and playing the drums. To Bill's left and in front of Bill on the stage, Elmer Price blows into a trumpet. There is a derby hat hanging on a stand in front of Elmer Price. The front corners of the stage are decorated with organ pipes.

An unidentified African American woman smiles as she stands by a baby grand Vose & Sons - Boston piano with her right hand resting just above the piano keys; her left hand behind her back. She has a flower in her hair on the right side above her ear. She wears a necklace, a wrist watch on her right wrist, and a full-length, full-skirt light-colored evening gown with puffed sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and a wide waistband. She wears light-colored open-toed shoes. An opened piece of music is on the piano. A picture of a palm-lined street is on the wall above the piano. A floor lamp behind her is mostly obscured. There is an upholstered chair behind and to the left of her.
